Aromatherapy – Essential Oil Skin Care Guide

Before you get started, it is important to understand that blending oils is important, as essential oils are highly concentrated. Essential oils are useful for aiding health and well-being, they can be absorbed through the bloodstream by adding to the skin, or inhaled by entering via the lungs. This means they can work quite quickly.

Essential oils are fantastic as they contain hundreds, sometimes thousands, of compounds. Natural and pure oils are highly recommended, as plants produce these compounds to protect themselves from any form of diseases – which over many, many years us humans have found an insane amount of benefits to us, which has lead us to what we know as essential oils by using them therapeutically.

When blending oils, it’s important to use carrier oils. This part is highly required as essential oils should not be used directly on the skin. Using a good, decent carrier oil makes the essential oil safe to use. Remember that when looking at carrier oils, cold-pressed is higher quality than heat-extracted or solvent-extracted.
